July 2010 Camp Meeting Minutes

 The meeting was called to order by the commander and opened with prayer by Chaplin Taylor We had the pledge to the U.S. flag and the salute to the Confederate flag.

The camp discussed a local issue where the school board is thinking about lifting the ban on allowing students to war clothing with logos on them. One of the logos that still would not be allowed was the Confederate battle flag. The camp decided to go to the next school board meeting and speak to them about this issue, also the commander will ask Division and Brigade to help us .

   Compatriot Lewis showed the camp the caps that we are selling as a fund raiser, the caps are really nice and several were sold at the meeting.

    The commander advised we need to do some maintenance on the monument, new rocks, lay down new weed guard cloth, etc.

With no further business the meeting was adjourned with prayer by Chaplin Taylor.

    The next camp meeting will be August 26, 2010
